Technology Lesson Experience (Ice Cream in a Bag)
The most divine cure for any unhappy person… ICE CREAM!!!. Yesterday at tech we made Ice Cream in a bag, I was so excited. Mr Swift (our cooking teacher) gave us some instructions to follow while making the Ice Cream and he gave us the recipe. We had separate bags for the Ice and the Salt and the mixture. In the mixture was Cream, Vanilla Essence and Coconut Milk. After we had all the ingredients set we put them in 2 plastic bags and continuously shook the bag for several minutes to form the Ice Cream.

Maths Problem Explanation
Problem: 47.03 + 1.97 equals _
My Explanation/Strategy:
1. I split the two numbers and add them. So I add 47 and 1 which equals 48.
2. Then I add the two decimals which are .03 and .97. That will equal 1.
3. I then add the 48 and the 1 which is 49, therefor the answer is 49.
The Strategy I used was tidy numbers.

Malo e lelei- Tongan Day Reflection
Tongan day was an awesome day, it was great to see everyone embrace their culture by dressing up in their Tongan clothes and the rest dressed up in their own cultural clothes. We were told that we were going to be having a whole school gathering in the hall at lunch time and that we were going to be eating a variety of Tongan food. I really enjoyed the food. Overall it was an entertaining and awesome day.

I found a strange package by the door... (Narrative Writing)
I found a strange package by the door which came from an anonymous company and I felt a bit curious of where it came from. I thought it was a bomb because I have read articles about strange packages arriving at random doors which have bombs inside them. The package said it was for Pat. I thought to myself “should I open it??”, indeed I did. I opened it with caution, I opened it up and there was another layer of wrapping paper and it said Thanks for everything you’ve done for us, it showed the address and it was an address from America, Cleveland Ohio perhaps. I then opened the layer and I saw a box of Kyrie Irving Shoes, a Cleveland Cavaliers Jersey and some free tickets to a game in Cleveland with the accommodation sorted and 5000 dollars spending money. I was filled with joy, but why was I gifted this?? I now remembered I entered a draw to win some Cavaliers gear and all you had to do was write a short description of why you support the Cavs. this was like Christmas, I was really pleased.

Being Smart Online...
Monday August 8th:
Listening to Constable Gordon made me re-think about what I am posting on social media, whether it is a bad thing or just a random social media post. He also pointed out that whatever we post will be in the records of the social media companies/providers we use even if we delete it. By deleting something it doesn't necessarily mean it is deleted.

Prayer 2016
Defining Prayer:
What is prayer?
Prayer to me is a short message we say to God, either to tell him to forgive us or help us with anything we feel difficult with. Prayer can be a daily routine, we can pray before we eat, before we go to sleep and in ordinary times.
How do you pray?
We can pray in different languages, we can pray individually or we can pray with a group of other people.
When do you pray?
There is no time period which is expected for you to pray, in our class we pray everyday after our morning tea break.
Where do you pray?
You can pray anywhere really, the church isn’t a particular place where you have to pray. You can pray outside under the trees in a quiet place, in your bedroom or anywhere.
What is the most common form of prayer you do?
The most common form of prayer for me is by reading the bible (Lectio Divina). I frequently read the bible in class and I respect God’s word.

Use your awesome imagination to design a brand new Paralympic sport. Please remember that some of the athletes will not be able to walk or run and others may be blind or deaf. On your blog, please write:
- The name of your sport,
- A brief description of how you play the sport, and
- Three rules for the sport
Badminton:
Brief Description:
Badminton is a very similar sport to tennis and squash. There can be either 1 person by themselves or 2 people in a doubles team playing against the same number of people. The aim of Badminton is to hit the shuttlecock (the object you hit) over the net and try and make the shuttlecock land on the ground of your opponents side. Therefor you will be given points if you do exactly that.
Rules:
1. When the shuttlecock has landed on your side of the net you can't hit it multiple times before hitting it over the net.
2. When you have received a serve and your partner hit's it at its still on your side of the net you are not allowed to hit it only your partner can regain their own hit.
3. The first to win 3 games/sets of 15 points is the winner of the match. This only applies for men's singles and doubles.
