Learn: Bonus- This year two sports are being reintroduced into the Olympic Games. They are golf and sevens rugby. Imagine that you worked for TVNZ and you were paid to travel to Rio de Janeiro to attend the Olympic Games and report on the golf and/or the rugby competitions. On your blog, write a poem that describes how you would feel about travelling to Rio. Would you be excited? Would you be scared? How would you feel?
Poem:
Travelling to Rio would be so much fun, reporting on Rugby in the beautiful sun. When the Olympics unfold they all go for Gold standing there strong,tough and bold. Seeing New Zealand representing us loud and proud, seeing the support from the Kiwi Crowd put's a smile on my face, seeing our country all embrace show's that we're not a disgrace.

ReplyDeleteI really like your poem! You have done such a nice job of capturing the feelings of excitement and pride that you likely to experience in Rio! I also liked the way that you were able to ensure that it rhymed. It definitely put a smile on my face when I read it.
