Squash!!

“I am so excited to learn the new sport that we are going to learn, I wonder what it is?”

On the first day of school on term 4 we were going to be learning a new sport, the new sport we were going to learn was squash. We were having squash in our school hall. When we arrived at the hall we saw to instructors.
When we all settled down the instructors introduced themselves there names were Michael and Phil. I really was looking forward to squash because it looked really fun but Michael told us that they were going to be teaching us squash for only 3 days I was hoping that they were going to stay to teach us squash for longer so we could be good at it.
Michael told us that the real squash court was three times bigger than the squash court that they brought in and the ball was smaller and harder and very bouncy. I was so impatient to play squash.

The best women and men player in 2013 are Nicol David and Ramy Ashour. Squash is going to participate in the Olympics on 2016 in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
The sport of Squash was invented in the 1800s. Squash was invented in a school in England called Harrow School because they had racquets and at the school they were hitting the ball onto the wall, so it is similar to squash.
Women normally wear a short skirt and T-shirt or a sport dress and men normally wear comfortable shorts and T-shirt and a bandana to suck all the sweet up from dripping.

As we were going to go into squash Michael and Phil gave some Registration forms for squash so if we wanted to play and to learn some more rules we were going to be allowed to join squash at Panmure Lagoon Stadium. In our lesson we were going to play a new game the game was called King of the court. I couldn’t wait to play it. Phil told us that we could pick out of 5 squash courts or you could go in the practise court.

I was in court number 1 that court was the main court and it also had a back wall so we could use the back wall to hit it on the front wall. My first opponent was Seuati and I beat him. Michael said that he was going to time us for 6 minutes a round and the two highest point scores stay in that court and the three lowest go down to the other court. Me and Rachel stayed in the same court and we were waiting for the other 3. My highest score on squash was 15 which is heaps. The first game I had  was against Rachel and she beat me and she had 1 point. But luckily when the round was finished I won with 11 points. Then the next opponents were Misiotei and Tokilupe. I won again with 12 points but Misiotei was quite good scoring 7 points against me which is quite good. Then Michael said that this was going to be the last round of King of the square. The people in my square were Rachel, Me, Kalolaine and Ma’ata.

When time was up I scored the most points I scored 15 points. But I really wanted to go to the other stations because I justed stayed in court 1 for the rest of the lessons. When Michael told us that the time was up we all sat down and Michael and Phil had a question for us the we had to research the question was who is the best women and men the answer was Nicol David from Malaysia for the best women and Ramy Ashour from Egypt for the men. When it was the end of the lesson I was sad because I really enjoyed squash it was a cool sport to play and it is good exercise to keep you fit.
